Exploration & Drilling

Commercially Productive Wells – Wells that are currently producing Oil or Gas in commercially viable quantities. After operating expenses, these wells will generate a profit to the owner. Through our extensive network of databases, we are able to identify and evaluate these types of wells.

Non-Commercially Productive Wells – These wells are currently producing or have previously produced oil and/or gas but at some point it has became more expensive to extract the hydrocarbons than the revenue that was generated from the sale of the oil or gas. With the current Oil prices, there is the potential to produce from these wells again and to rework these wells to increase the production.

Offset Well Drilling – New wells that are drilled nearby existing wells or known producing wells fall into this category. Generally an offset well will be drilled to further expand a known reservoir or to extract hydrocarbons from a productive field.

Wildcat/Exploratory Drilling – Wells that are drilled in an area that has not previously yielded oil or gas quantities in commercial amounts or in an area yet to be drilled are considered to be Exploratory or “Wildcat” wells. Due to the uncertainty of striking oil, we prefer to concentrate our efforts against exploratory drilling.

Leasing - Land that has been leased for drilling, reworking, exploring for and general oil & gas production and under contract from the surface or mineral owner.
